During our busiest moments, we come together as a family, each lending a hand. This spirit of togetherness shapes not only our designs but the heart of everything we do. Our Story

Soake began its journey in 2008 under the name Clifton Umbrellas Ltd, trading as Blooming Brollies—an ode to our early designs inspired by nature’s blooms: sunflowers, daisies, roses, and more. As our creative vision grew, so did our collection, welcoming the vibrant world of Bugzz Kids Stuff and becoming proud UK & Ireland distributors for the beautifully crafted Galleria umbrellas.

As we curated and developed our own exclusive lines—including the iconic Boutique collection featuring our elegant Frilled and Ribbed Pagodas—it became clear that our brand had outgrown its name. And so, after thoughtful deliberation and months of transformation, Soake Ltd was born in 2014. What followed was a true labour of love: new branding, a fresh identity, and the reimagining of over 50,000 umbrellas under the Soake name.

In 2018, a new chapter began as I, Anthony Temporal—part of the journey since 2006—stepped into ownership and merged our family of brands under Soake Ltd. Checkpoint, a beloved name with a legacy of over 20 years and known for distributing rainwear and wooden toys, including the whimsical Bugzz range, was seamlessly woven into the Soake story.

Today, we carry forward this legacy with passion and purpose—infusing innovation into every design, honouring our past, and embracing the future with excitement.

Our Aim

At Soake, our journey is powered by passion and family. Since taking over the business, I’ve been joined by my wife Sara, whose enthusiasm for our products and vision has brought fresh energy to everything we do. Together, we're dedicated to crafting innovative designs and expanding our collection with creativity and care.

As parents of four wonderful children, family is at the heart of every decision we make. When our youngest started school, Sara was able to become more involved in the day-to-day workings of the business—a shift that’s strengthened both our brand and our bond. Balancing work and family life isn’t always easy, especially with school runs, after-school chaos, and the beautiful unpredictability of parenthood. But with flexibility, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose, we make it work.

We treasure the moments we spend as a family—whether it’s a countryside ramble, a sun-soaked getaway, or quiet meals around the table. Our family is our inspiration, and everything we create is for them and families like yours.
